STEIERMARKHOF, GRAZ

In the course of renovations and add-ons, the yard of the Steiermarkhof was also redesigned. The focus is directed towards a large ginkgo tree, guarded by the natural monument. It is superior to every other greenery used and is the aim of many purposely chosen views on the areal. The generous garden is embossed by the diverse purposes of the building (offices, seminar rooms und guest rooms) and therefore divided into different functions. The terrace, directly attached to the house, is protected by a canopy. Colorful herb beds divide different sections.
The natural arena with its wide, functional grassland is upgraded by single planted fruit trees. It also serves as a connection towards the neighbored meadow orchard.
