Due to climate change the number of heat days and tropical nights is increasing, along with heat stress on people. Especially in densely built areas, high surface temperatures occur in summer. The feasibility study shows that the surface temperatures on the rooftops of the Med Uni can be significantly reduced through roof greening. Furthermore, the building greening has a positive impact on retention, evaporation and biodiversity. If the greening potential is utilized, users will also benefit from a higher quality of their surroundings.
