NEUTOR QUARTER, GRAZ

Situated in the historical centre of Graz, the Neutorviertel is characterized by a variety of functions and uses. Redistribution of the public space is part of the redesign; the areas for motorized private transport (MIV) are being reduced, creating more space for active mobility. Shared spaces and slower speed limits enhance traffic safety.

Improvement of the existing tree sites as well as new tree plantings aim to restore the original avenue structures. The cooling and shading of the trees contribute to an improved microclimate and enhace the comfort and vitality of the Neutorviertel.
