Due to the clients wish, the steep property was terraced to gain an easier access to cultivate the area. The eight resulted levels are divided and carried by natural stone walls creating different ‘rooms’ for various functions and activities. A fire pit, water pond and various flower beds were installed. The large, wooden deck right off the home forms an ‘autonomous zone’, containing a lounging area and a natural pond, whose edge drains on the next level.
In addition, a glasshouse with a generous cultivation area was built on the field beside the terrace complex, which further enhances the diversity of the garden.
