The Sonnenpark is located in the center of the solar city Gleisdorf, viewing the church tower. The main attraction is the walkable sundial in the middle of the park, remembering the former one on the façade of the close-by school. Different benches and wooden lounging decks are scattered around the area, inviting to linger. The play area in the eastern part is protected by a large, preserved hazel tree.
Existing greenery was kept and complimented by new greenery – especially around the edges. A gravel path runs diagonal through the park, being lined by shady trees and other bushes.
