The seaside resort Breitenbrunn is located on an artificial raised land tongue. The aim of the design is to highlight this headland to create a characteristic image. Some of the functions were combined to boost a conservation of land and resources and to obtain a better natural space. The bay is upgraded through the emphasis on the headland.
Its expansion also creates an exclusive, insular situation, which is only accessible through one road. The exclusivity is further enhanced through small inlets in the resort. Houseboats as a connecting element between water and dry land are situated in front of the calm bay and can be rented year-round.
The element water is also more noticeable on the campgrounds and the area of mobile homes. The size of existing canals was increased and dragged farther in the camping area. Besides the aesthetic aspects, the water roads also part the different applications. Superior green structures divide the entire areal, but also mark directions and important routes.
The long straight access road along the parking lot is pivoted in front of the entrance area. The new entry building forms a clean-cut border to the street and clasped the adjoined, year-round usable square from all sides. It serves as a clear divider between the seaside resort and the traffic area but also as a distributor. A 1000m long promenade from the harbor to the lighthouse rolls by the frontcourt, continuing onwards to the lake domiciles.
