ÖDENBURGERSTRASSE, VIENNA

The initial task was to determinate and investigate existing structures and arrangements, followed by designing the open space and the planning establishment of superior greenery constructions. In this process, a special attention was given towards the dimensioning of road spaces and public greens. A park, centrally located, serves as the areas identity and creates high quality common rooms. Its close network of paths with integrated ‘Pocket Parks’ create an attractive, recreational zone close to surrounding homes. The circulation areas for motorized traffic was purposely reduced, adding even more space to the network for pedestrians and bicyclists.
