LANDESGARTENSCHAU, BAD ISCHL
competition: 1. place
client: Immobilien Bad Ischl GmbH
scope Monsberger: landscape design, garden for Sissi and Franz
completion: 2015
area: 1 000 m²
Emperor Franz Josef’s large interest to hunt was the inspiration behind the stylized deer antlers as a form for the emperor’s garden. Yew hedges form the ideal background for the white-green greenery used in the park. The garden can be viewed from different angles and perspectives (raised hide). A reflecting pond is situated in the center of the introverted green space.
The empress’s hair accessories are taken up as the main idea for the Sissi garden.
Sissi’s poetry is printed on framed, linen walls. They decorate certain spots and give her garden a personal touch.
