GARDEN CITY, KUFSTEIN
client: Lechner Immobilien
cooperation with architect Kleboth Lindinger ZT
scope Monsberger: landscape design
planning: 2011
area ca. 43 000 m²
The city of Kufstein is characterized by its location in the Inn basin but also by its surrounding mountains. The goal was to archive a connection and regional relation to all neighbored, superior open space structures by arranging the building structures and their orientation along the central corridors.
The garden city’s open space is divided into different sections with individual functions. A clear boundary is shown between public and private gardens, which are especially attached with greater importance. Each living unit has their own, exclusive, assigned green area, either on the ground floor, a fraction on the rooftop garden or a private share of land in the community garden.
